Thinking about touring Paseo but not quite sure what to expect from a hardhat tour?
At Paseo, our leasing professionals have helped hundreds of people find apartments in downtown Austin. With personalized tours, we’ll help you explore available floor plans, walk through key amenity spaces, and get a real feel for what life at Paseo will be like.
Our temporary leasing office is conveniently located at Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden located at 79 Rainey Street, just across the street from Paseo.
Because the building is still under construction, we know future residents often have questions about what a tour looks like—what to wear, where to park, and what spaces you’ll actually get to see. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know before your hardhat tour and how to proceed after your tour.
What to Wear
Since we will be on an active construction site, appropriate dress and safety clothing are mandatory. Dust and dirt will be present, so be sure to keep this in mind and dress accordingly.
Requirements for appropriate dress include:
- Shirts with sleeves
- Long pants (no dresses, skirts or shorts)
- Sturdy, closed toe shoes (no heels)
Upon arrival to our leasing office, we will provide safety gear, including:
- Hard hat
- Safety vest
- Safety glasses/goggles
Before Your Tour
Before you head to the leasing office for your tour, read these tips to make sure your experience is safe and enjoyable.
- Parking: Once your tour is confirmed, we’ll provide a promo code for three hours of free parking at Skyhouse Austin.
- Timing – The tour will last approximately one hour, with around 45 minutes spent on-site.
- Dress Accordingly – As mentioned above, since we will be on an active construction site, we require you to wear shirts with sleeves, long pants (no dresses, skirts or shorts), and sturdy, closed toe shoes. Unfortunately, we will need to reschedule your tour if you are not dressed appropriately to go onto an active construction site.
- Temperature – Austin summers are blazing hot. Please be prepared for outside temperatures during the tour. We will have cold water available during the tour as well.
- Photo ID – To ensure security, we require each person who is touring to provide a physical valid government-issued photo ID. Be sure to bring your driver’s license, passport or other form of photo ID.
- No Pets – While we love pets and can’t wait for them to move-in, they can’t be brought on the tour. Please, leave your pup at home.
- Waiver – Prior to touring the construction site, you’ll need to fill out a waiver. You will sign this upon arrival at the leasing office.
- Age Restrictions – Unfortunately, due to safety reasons we will not be able to tour anyone under the age of 18. However, as soon as we officially open we will be more than happy to show you and your family around at Paseo.
- Safety Gear – As mentioned above, it is mandatory to wear a hard hat, safety vest, and safety goggles. These will all be provided upon arrival.
You’ll meet the leasing team at our temporary leasing office at Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden at the time of your scheduled tour. Here, you’ll have the chance to ask questions and discuss your preferences for your ideal apartment. Be sure to come prepared with a list of questions to help make your tour personalized, helpful and timely. To help you get started, we’ve compiled a list of 13 questions to ask on a tour.
Once you’ve signed the construction waiver and collected your hard hat and vest, we’ll head across the street to the site.
Touring the Property
Once you arrive at Paseo, a leasing professional will welcome you and escort you through the front lobby doors. Here, you will experience the residents main entry while catching a glimpse of the entry concierge and Daydreamer Cafe.

From there, we’ll head up to the second floor, home to a fireplace lounge, coworking spaces and the leasing office.
Next stop—the 48th floor. This exclusive residents-only rooftop lounge features a pool, hot tub and 360-degree views of downtown Austin, Lady Bird Lake and beyond.

Depending on what’s most relevant to you, we’ll tour a selection of our signature and elevated units, anything from a studio to a three-bedroom. This part of the tour is tailored to your priorities, so you see the layouts that best match your needs.
From there, we’ll make our way to Level 14, where the chef’s kitchen and outdoor dining terrace with grilling set the scene for everything from intimate dinners to impromptu celebrations. Elevated views, thoughtful finishes and plenty of space to gather make it one of the most striking spots in the building.
On Level 13, it’s all about movement and focus. The fitness center and yoga room are designed to keep your routine sharp, with a coworking lounge just steps away, complete with private conference rooms, a kitchenette and spots for focused work or casual catch-ups. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame views over Rainey Street, while the open-air terrace offers fresh air and a new perspective.
One floor down, you’ll find a dedicated classroom-style fitness space for group workouts and training sessions, bringing energy and variety to your routine.
Level 12 is where things slow down and the social side takes over. Here, the pool deck flows into a vibrant restaurant and bar, perfect for long lunches, golden-hour cocktails, or late-night bites. Cabanas, cocktails and DJ sets create the atmosphere, while the wellness spa with its cold plunge, sauna and lockers gives you every reason to linger.
We’ll wrap up back at Bangers, where you can ask any final questions and, if you’re ready, start your application.
Applying and Signing Your Lease

Once you’ve toured the property and found the apartment that feels right, it’s time to secure it. The application takes about 10 minutes and can be completed right there at Banger’s with our team on hand to walk you through any questions. Prefer to take your time? You can also complete it later from home.
After your application is submitted, you’ll be prompted to sign your lease. Read through it as you go, and don’t hesitate to ask for clarification on anything. Once the final signature is in place, it’s official – you’re on your way to becoming a Paseo resident.
Now you know exactly what to expect during a Paseo hardhat tour. Touring a construction site might feel unfamiliar, but with the right preparation, it’s an exciting step toward your new home. Book your Paseo tour today and let our team guide you from your first visit to move-in day.
