Update: July 15, 2026
The dog park is open.
Since Monday’s update, the remaining items are complete:
- Sanitation protocol is in effect. The turf is spray-cleaned twice daily at 4 a.m. and 4 p.m., the lower level is cleaned every three hours, and the under-turf treatment breaks down waste and neutralizes odor twice a day.
- New fans are installed and running to keep the space dry between cleanings.
- Motion sensor fine-tuning continues, as noted Monday.
A few things to know as you head back up: the turf may be damp right after a cleaning cycle, but the fans dry it quickly. The new gates latch firmly by design; if yours feels stiff, see the photo below for how to open it.

Our residents expect a clean, secure and well-maintained pet area, and that’s exactly what we’re committed to delivering. As resident feedback and day-to-day operations identified opportunities for improvement, we accelerated enhancements to the pet relief area, including drainage, sanitation and security features. We’ve made significant improvements and will continue sharing our progress until the project is complete.
Since our last pet relief area communication on June 24th, here’s what’s been completed:
Security Enhancements
- New self-closing, self-latching gates and fencing to separate the pet relief area from garage traffic.
- Protective railing barriers added along all open-air wall sections.
Drainage Improvements
- Removed the old turf and installed a new sloped drainage system with specialized pet turf, so liquids drain immediately rather than collecting in the space.
Cleaning & Sanitation
- New flushing system that rinses beneath the turf and automatically treats the area to break down waste and control odor.
- Automatic rinse cycles throughout the day, with sensors that pause them whenever pets or residents are present so no one gets sprayed.
Please note: the pet relief area is not open yet. These photos show the latest work, but we’re still finishing final adjustments. We’ll let you know the moment it’s ready.
Our commitment doesn’t end when construction is complete. We’ll continue monitoring the space, gathering resident feedback and making improvements to ensure the pet relief area meets our community standards. This page will be updated regularly with current progress. Residents can raise issues directly at leasing@paseoatx.com or place a maintenance request via the Resident App.
